Description: “Scuffin” refers to the lines etched into a bottle through repeated use. A returnable bottle requires the extra step of being returned in order to be used again. This is the story of a bottle journeying around the earth, marked with “scuffin” as proof that someone returned it. A web movie for Pocari Sweat’s returnable bottle. The scenes in which the bottle glows were filmed by shining projector light onto cut-paper artwork.

We created a brand film for ALPINE, a premium car audio brand from Japan with fans around the world. With the concept “SOUNDWARDS / Toward great sound,” we expressed a simple yet powerful brand message through dynamic visuals and music: where the best sound resonates, the best people gather and the best spaces are born. A great live performance and the audience drawn to it create the ultimate atmosphere. We captured that sense of being irresistibly drawn in with dynamic camerawork, making extensive use of drones. The music was created by KAITO, also known as Hiroshi Watanabe, whose work is released worldwide through Germany’s largest record label. The film direction and DP were handled by Senzo Ueno, and the overall planning and production were a collaboration with the creative agency Drill.
