Description: An image video for PAGANI, an eyewear brand based in Italy. We created animation for David Taveras’s poem/story, which depicts a journey of finding a vision and rediscovering oneself after having lost sight of it. Thinking through what kind of animation to pair with the English text was both a very difficult and enjoyable process. The animation was produced not only with paper cutouts, but also by incorporating paper-based 3D forms, prints of live-action footage, light and shadows from a projector, and the intense sunlight of midsummer into the filming process.
