This work is a project themed around “Encounters not yet here,” weaving together the possibilities held by encounters into a single story that transcends genre boundaries. It begins with the question posed to viewers, “Aren’t encounters amazing?” and then, in a rhythmic flow with pop-inspired direction, features a wide range of content and culture that have colored the times, including popular TikTok creators Marina and Osako, the esports team ZETA DIVISION®, the anime series The Quintessential Quintuplets and Lycoris Recoil, the manga Laid-Back Camp, the YouTuber Kevin’s English Room, who explores overseas cultures, and kemio. Our world is filled with countless encounters. “Travel,” “the city” (where we live), “taste,” “questions,” “love,” and “a new self” born through them... Please pay close attention to how these elements come together in each scene, and in what forms of encounter they are linked.

A promotional video for the release of Volume 37 of Weekly Shonen Jump’s HUNTER×HUNTER. In sync with the series’ resumption in the magazine, the Dark Continent arc is revisited only minimally, with a structure designed to intuitively convey the “stirring intentions” of the various characters. To preserve the feel of the original artwork, no coloring was applied, and the complex, multifaceted breadth of the story was expressed through chromatic aberration and analog-style color shifts.

In manga PVs, where the standard approach is to skillfully animate the original artwork, this work instead limits movement to the bare minimum and sets things up so that only the camera is moving, maximizing the synchronized camera work and the inherent appeal of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original artwork.
