We threw together visual techniques from different eras and distilled them into the footage: the texture of optical compositing, dot-art animation output with computers, superseded telops, lettering, hand-drawn animation, and 3DCG backgrounds. We aimed to reinforce the song’s low-key yet sharply defined mood by creating an atmosphere in which highly saturated motifs are inserted as accent colors into a cool, pale base tone.
