TV Anime “Detective Conan” Non-Credit OP × WANDS “RAISE INSIGHT”

I was in charge of directing the opening sequence for the TV anime “Detective Conan.”
Rather than simply putting together an opening, I thought about how I could somehow incorporate a “mystery.”
Based on the fact that the mysterious character revealed in this work was a one-eyed man,
I decided to embed a message in the animation when the left eye of the main characters appearing in the video is closed.
In addition, in order to connect it with the film title, I structured the opening so that Conan-kun runs from Shibuya to Takeshiba Pier,
and within that route I came up with a gimmick where text appears when half of the screen is mirrored and copied.
During the broadcast period, I couldn’t quite relax because it felt like I was being chased by many detectives,
but it seems that many people took on this mystery-solving challenge, and as a result it became a very enjoyable opening sequence for me personally as well.
I was extremely anxious because I couldn’t find the “W” and “T” for a long time,
and I remember feeling a strange mix of joy and relief when I finally found them at the intersection of the Shibuya pedestrian overpass and Shinichi’s bridge.
I would be happy if those who watched it would take a moment to think about what kind of mystery might be hidden within it.
