Destroying the Boundaries of a Work
In the mind, the boundaries between thoughts and concepts are inherently ambiguous. Thoughts and concepts exist through mutual influence with various other thoughts and concepts. In the real world, they are mediated by matter in order to exist as works. Matter has long been what creates boundaries.
With digital technology, works are freed from material mediation, and their boundaries become ambiguous. Works continue to change while influencing one another. Even as each work remains an independent entity, the boundaries between works are gradually lost.
