In Japan, construction sites have signs with illustrations of people in work clothes apologizing. I had been noticing them for some reason and filming them without any particular purpose, but when I gathered them together and compared them, they turned out to be interesting. Certain kinds of illustrations are used frequently, but among them are some with unusual outfits or strange poses. Even the construction signs tucked away in a corner of the city reveal a surprisingly rich culture of creativity when you pay attention to them. This video work is an animated compilation of that appeal.
