This work received the First-Time Participant Award in the motion category of the “MAX CHALLENGE 2023” contest held at Adobe MAX Japan 2023. The theme was “Dream Bigger.” It depicts scenes of pursuing dreams in everyday life, telling a story of moving forward toward those dreams. To express a dreamlike atmosphere, I designed it with pop-style characters and a bright color palette.

I directed a promotional video using Subaru Tecnica International’s Nürburgring-spec car. It was driven by SUBARU’s race driver Takuto Iguchi, and his speed range was beyond what I had expected; I remember the camera car having to run at an exceptionally high speed during filming. Also, as you may be able to tell from the footage, even when the car changed, he passed through the same line on every lap, which made switching between vehicles extremely easy, and I believe this work was made possible by the combined strength of a true professional driver.

Casper Caan’s track “Detours to Glories” is expressed through a fusion of 2D animation and live-action backgrounds.
