An image-based video work centered on Atami and the surrounding areas, the setting of the TV anime Clean Freak! Aoyama-kun, composed from live-action footage. Over three days of filming in Atami, time-lapse shots and snapshots were meticulously gathered from early morning until sunset. By carefully editing and compositing this vast collection of cuts built around the keyword “beautiful” in accordance with the rhythm and flow of emotion, the work creates a visual experience in which everyday scenery gradually takes on color and seems to synchronize with one’s inner feelings.

A music video created based on a song inspired by photographer Munehide Ida’s photo book “EXPRESSWAY.” In this work, depth maps were generated from Munehide Ida’s photographs to give them three-dimensional movement, challenging the idea of “photographs coming to life once again.” While actively embracing the characteristics of the source material, including blur and noise, the piece intricately synchronizes them with piano sounds evoking a camera shutter and fast-paced developments. Through a unique approach, it reconstructs the tension and sense of speed inherent in the “moment” captured in photographs taken while driving on the Shuto Expressway at 100 km/h.

Please exercise caution when viewing, and if you feel any discomfort, stop watching immediately. -- This is a motion graphics MV created under the concept of “making an MV that tricks the viewer for an instant.” Starting from the now-familiar composition often seen in recent vocaloid song MVs—an illustration placed against a single-color background—the moment the drop begins, the illustrated Teto Kasane opens her eyes and the background starts moving violently as well, drawing the viewer into the music through the sudden shift in tone. To create visuals that could stand up to a song driven by passionate feelings riding on a powerful beat, we incorporated plenty of data-like grime such as noise and moshing, and built the piece around motion graphics that still maintain a pleasing visual appearance.

TV anime “Zenshu.” ED theme A video work combining illustration, UI design, and live action. -- The illustrator was kawa. Using a color-specified line draft, often seen in key animation production, as one of the looks, we prepared three different looks along with line art and coloring. We delicately visualized the process through which a work is created, and the life of its creator, by weaving live action into the imagery. All live-action footage was shot by going out myself, and from the cold winter dawn to sunset, I captured spaces that conveyed a sense of warmth. With assistance from Jaga (SHIFTZ), who is well versed in live-action filming, we shot aimlessly while searching for “everyday yet powerful landscapes” that suit this song. -- We created this work with a single-minded desire to deliver the struggles and joys of creation to everyone who creates, or is about to begin creating.
