We aimed to create a music video that felt like a toy box turned upside down. Given the constraint of not showing the artist’s face, we explored ways of expression such as using silhouettes and hiding them with a grid-based design.

This is an animation commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Ilf Doga Museum in Nagano Prefecture. I directed, animated, and handled the storyboards, and did everything except the music by myself. Based on Takei Takeo’s picture books, I created an animation that journeys through the story. After visiting Nagano Prefecture for research and filming, it was completed in about a month.
