Lyric video for Zettakun’s “Aspara feat. Eiichi Kogure (the band apart).”
I was in charge of the direction, design, and motion.
I turned “Aspara,” the title of the song, into a character to match the song’s relaxed mood, and created the video so that the character appears to be strolling around town.
To balance the client’s request to “crop it for use as a vertical video” with the fact that it is a horizontal lyric video, I set it up so that the horizontal version looks like “filming Aspara-kun walking around with a smartphone,” while the vertical version looks like “the filmed video has been uploaded to social media,” allowing the smartphone section in the center to be used as-is as a vertical video.
