This is a dance animation for digital signage featuring an animal barber, created for children. The beaver barber “BeeBee” dances while cutting the hair of the forest animals.

Under the theme “Hard a starboard!”, the process of planning and designing with a flat, two-dimensional mindset is represented in 2D, while the part where that is actually brought to life as output is depicted in 3D. By looping playback, the work also expresses the idea of continually repeating and refining those processes.

Nature grants “blessings” and brings “disasters” — such stories are nothing more than human perspectives. Phenomena that can be “blessings” or “disasters” to us are, in the natural world, akin to the impermanence of all things, and before their presence, we are powerless. The connection of beautiful “life” that creates such a vast and seemingly futile “nature” is confined within a sphere. The life contained within transforms in form and becomes a great surge. A station break for “Geo-Cosmos,” the symbol exhibit of the newly reborn National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. The video projected onto the 6-meter-diameter spherical display has no seams vertically or horizontally, and can be viewed from any position.
