This work expresses the emotions felt when you become trapped in an endless loop of helpless anger. It is a loop animation, designed so that on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, it can be watched in an endless cycle. I created it by drawing the animation frame by frame in Photoshop, and then partially using Kaiber AI to give it a more realistic style and alter the textures. The fact that AI produced visuals that were unexpected, or even more than I had anticipated, aligns with the theme of the work: losing control of oneself through anger and becoming someone unexpected.

We aimed to create a visual style that blends mechanical animation, making full use of patterns, with traditional hand-drawn animation. Even without facial expressions, a person’s fashion can convey emotion and energy. Clothes chosen by a person of their own free will are not mere decorations; they become part of the body, and there is a sense in which the boundary between fashion and the person becomes increasingly blurred. Fashion, including clothing, accessories, cosmetic surgery, and makeup, seems to lose its boundary with the wearer’s body and mind the more they enjoy wearing it, until it feels like they become that person themselves. We tried to express these ideas through animation.

The boxfish lacks confidence and always spends its time alone among the rocks, envying the other fish. Then one day, it meets a pygmy seahorse said to have come from the sea of Minamata, and sets out on its first adventure to help bring the pygmy seahorse back to the sea of Minamata. Based on Sakana-kun’s picture book The Boxfish’s Wish, this short animation portrays the diversity of living creatures, environmental issues, and the affirmation of one’s own individuality. An art animation based on Shotaro Ishinomori’s *Jun*, a manga once said to be difficult to adapt to film, rendered not in cel animation but in a hand-drawn style. With no dialogue, using only music and sound effects, it is a work that speaks to the heart regardless of age or nationality. The film overlays Jun’s episodes with Ishinomaki City’s journey toward recovery from the sense of loss left by the earthquake and disaster, and artistically expresses the idea that through Jun’s growth, dreams can come true if one does not give up, even in difficult circumstances. It is now being permanently screened at the Video Hall of the Ishinomori Manga Museum in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.

This is a “purpose movie” expressing Orizo Inc.’s purpose. It is a lyric video set to an original song, “Purpose Song (Company Anthem Rap),” created by the rapper Pony-san to express that purpose. When we proposed a concept of “a video that chaotically mixes various tones and moods, like the thoughts running through each employee’s mind,” the client liked it and told us, “Please really do whatever you like!” At our company, we usually proceed with projects by carefully building design and motion structures based on a wide range of elements, so for this video, our biggest challenge was “taking the limiter off our heads.” We also used characters that were doodled by our staff five years ago in the middle of the video, and being able to try things that would not be possible in ordinary client work was very memorable.

I was responsible for the following tasks: ・Illustration / logo design: all ・Animation / motion design For this project, the request was to differentiate it from other works by expressing Halloween without using orange or purple. By using a lot of black, I expressed a Halloween world, and by using primary colors, I aimed for cute illustrations that felt like a children’s program. I also paid close attention to the detailed motifs, such as plants, totem poles, and garlands, so that it would be enjoyable to look at. I created the opening title for a program that introduces the world to the greatness of Japanese manga and anime. With the thought that manga artists and animators are admirable heroes, and in a good sense, a monster collective that Japan can be proud of, I made sure to depict each character with a distinct personality. At the Ginza Mitsukoshi Main Building, on the first-floor ground-level window, we created digital kaleidoscopes, interactive art that senses human movement, and video works. Corridor of Petals This work is themed around cherry blossom petals, symbolizing the arrival of spring. In this piece, cherry blossom petals spread throughout the space and flutter colorfully in response to the movements of visitors. The petals capture the moment when the rhythms of nature and human presence come into harmony, visualizing the breath and energy of spring. It was created with the hope of conveying the warmth and vitality of spring to people. Eternal Sakura Kaleidoscope This work fuses the beauty of cherry blossoms with the mysterious allure of a kaleidoscope. It captures the moment a cherry blossom blooms, expressing an image of it taking in light and expanding toward a hopeful future. It depicts the beauty of nature as it changes over time, conveying a message of hope and renewal.
