Following “Re:GAME” and “Catwalk,” this work portrays “release” as the final chapter of Tanaka’s three-part music video trilogy. While carrying on the fictional world built in the previous works, it incorporates the relationship between Takeshi Taniguchi and Tanaka himself, as well as the creative process, adding a documentary-like perspective. Though it is a music video, it also serves as a meta work that looks back on the trilogy itself, depicting the conflict and sense of release embodied in the song, somewhere between reality and fiction.

This work is the second chapter of the Taniguchi × Tanaka collaborative trilogy, following “Re:Game.” A “flight” depicted as a one-shot-style POV horror. The camera becomes the protagonist’s eyes, dragging you down from the audience seats and turning you into the “escapee,” along with the rising breathlessness and the fear of proximity.
