The song’s sense of exhilaration is conveyed through abstract visuals at a brisk pace. The drama of a phantom thief and the detective pursuing him is distilled into a form that clearly brings out each character.

I created this video inspired by the display bugs of early PlayStation games. Using fairy tales as a motif, I transformed it into an eerie, psychedelic world.

By using non-digital methods such as carving graphics into wood to create source materials, and applying damage effects to footage using broken printers and VHS decks, the work aimed to express the song’s sense of mystery and eeriness.
