sasakure.‌UK × TJ.hangneil “raputa” Music Video

2023

00:03:07

Created the music video for “raputa” by sasakure.UK and TJ.hangneil together with animator Mise. The piece unfolds around conspiracy theories that combine outer space and antiquity, such as the ancient astronaut hypothesis and Sumerian mythology. By creating contrast through a form of expression that combines mockumentary-style direction inspired by found footage with deformed animation, the work conveys the unsettling instability inherent in the music.

Music video for “Maoh” by sasakure.UK and TJ.hangneil. Created around the themes of sacred texts and rituals set in another world. By using non-digital methods such as carving graphics into wood to create source materials, and applying damage effects to footage using broken printers and VHS decks, the work aimed to express the song’s sense of mystery and eeriness.
