Filmed in my hometown of Gunma. I made this with the feeling that if I had stayed in my hometown and had lots of friends, this is the kind of life I would have wanted to live. It was shot using a SONY VX-1000 and digital cameras from that era, giving it the look and feel of around the year 2000. A UFO appears too.

I directed the music video for Tyrkouaz - REBOOOOT. It was created using a variety of approaches, including volumetric video and circuit-bent video effectors. I built the visual world by drawing on game titles and cultural influences that the two artists were inspired by. A two-piece drum and bass duo with guitar and drums is so cool.

A music video themed around spirit photographs. Using a thermography camera, we expressed the passage of time through shifting heat. We also incorporated 2000s-style handheld camcorders and low-polygon photogrammetry to create the distinctive atmosphere of a ghost video.

We tried a variety of approaches, including 3D Gaussian Splatting, photogrammetry, stop-motion photogrammetry using nine GoPros, and making use of the 3DS stop-motion feature. With the concept of being playful yet cool, we aimed to create an experimental and entertaining video.

Although it includes many cinematic approaches, we kept the experimental feel subdued and structured it so that the actors’ performances remain at the center.
