A city that repeats endless cycles cannot keep the same landscape for long. The landscape of memories that once existed there is deeply personal, yet at the same time it reflects the fleeting form of the city. The landscape of that day, which now exists only in individual memory, will soon disappear. We can no longer recall those who are being forgotten for the sake of tomorrow.

"Hotta" and "Hisaya Daishi," who attend a high school in Arimatsu Town. Hotta notices that indigo paint has gotten on Hisaya's fingernails. Hisaya's family has run an Arimatsu shibori shop for generations, and he helps with the work. As the conversation unfolds, they end up making an Arimatsu shibori yukata. I made this work because I wanted to tell a story about the local culture of Nagoya. It is a story about the dyeing technique called Arimatsu shibori. The artwork was drawn on paper and colored using Photoshop.
