"Hotta" and "Hisaya Daishi," who attend a high school in Arimatsu Town. Hotta notices that indigo paint has gotten on Hisaya's fingernails. Hisaya's family has run an Arimatsu shibori shop for generations, and he helps with the work. As the conversation unfolds, they end up making an Arimatsu shibori yukata. I made this work because I wanted to tell a story about the local culture of Nagoya. It is a story about the dyeing technique called Arimatsu shibori. The artwork was drawn on paper and colored using Photoshop.
