I helped with the production of video content for the World Para Athletics Championships / World Para Swimming Championships. To help people discover what makes para sports so interesting, we worked with NHK to develop highlight and rules videos. I was involved starting with World Para Swimming, then wheelchair rugby, and Para Athletics. We always start by having all the staff study the rules of the para sports, but when we actually go to watch the matches, we are overwhelmed by their power, and each time it makes us think about what disability really is. Para athletics is fused with cutting-edge technology, so records can sometimes surpass those from the Olympics. In terms of extending human ability, I think it will continue to attract even more attention in the future in the context of body hacking and transhumanism.
