Based on the science film series “To Future Scientists,” which has been produced in a total of 15 installments, we created a song that conveys the fascination and appeal of materials science. The lyrics were written around the theme that even scientific substances with mysterious properties were originally born from the curiosity of a single individual, and the song combines footage of the experiments conducted in “To Future Scientists.”

「未来の科学者たちへ」シリーズは、日本の公的研究機関である、物質・材料研究機構（NIMS）のPRのため、NIMSの広報サイト「材料のチカラ」内で公開されています。主に高校生・大学生をターゲットとし、NIMSの研究対象である様々な物質・材料が持つ興味深い特性や、科学的知識を基礎に物事を「想像する」面白さを、シンプルで明快な映像により表現しました。#14では、#09で取り上げた「超撥水材料」に再び焦点をあて、単純に水をはじくのにとどまらない、超撥水材料が持つ可能性を2つの実験を通して浮かび上がらせました。
