Kenshi Yonezu New Album Release Event "LOST CORNER AR LIVE in HARAKADO"

2024
00:05:19
To commemorate the release of Kenshi Yonezu’s 6th album, LOST CORNER, we were responsible for the character design and AR production/design of “LOST CORNER AR LIVE in HARAKADO,” held at Tokyu Plaza Harajuku “Harakado.” LOST CORNER AR LIVE in HARAKADO is a roughly five-minute AR experience that lets visitors witness a fictional Kenshi Yonezu live performance, dancing freely through the streets of Harajuku to songs such as the opening theme of the anime Chainsaw Man, “KICK BACK,” and the theme song for the NHK TV drama series Tiger and Her Wings, “Sayounara Mata Itsuka!” By co-creating with SoVeC, part of the Sony Group, and leveraging the advanced capabilities of Sony’s VPS technology, which boasts outstanding precision and robustness, we were able to create an immersive presentation that blends reality and digital content.

We planned and produced “MoAR – Museum of AR,” an art gallery where you can experience large-scale digital artworks in AR, using the coworking building WHEREVER in Roppongi, Tokyo, as a canvas. In addition to our original works, such as a logo leaping out from a sign, a giant monster roaming the building, a swarm of ghosts inhabiting the building being sucked away, and a giant figure peering out from inside the building, we also collaborated with a total of 24 artists active across a wide range of fields, including Inae, Yukishita Mayu, and others. In all, you can experience 28 AR mural artworks at once. By using App Clips, we eliminated the need to download an app, allowing visitors to simply scan the QR codes painted on the building’s exterior walls and view works by a variety of artists in AR.

【OPEN HUB Monoliths】 An entrance that recognizes visitors as partners in co-creation and welcomes them in. Seven life-size displays stand around the entrance space, linked to the check-in system, and project immersive visuals featuring personal graphics (OPEN HUB Personal Logo) generated from each guest’s initials, profession, and other details, welcoming them as members of OPEN HUB. The generated “OPEN HUB Personal Logo” becomes a symbol of communication that bridges the real and virtual, changing in response to online and offline activities at “OPEN HUB.” 【OPEN HUB Visualizer】 A massive display where you can experience the Smart World through data visualization. Data held by companies engaged in co-creation is collected, stored, and analyzed using the “Smart Data Platform,” then visualized on a huge LED display measuring approximately 3 m × 10 m. Through this dynamic, data-driven installation experience, it encourages the creation of new value.

“Rakugaki AR” is an app that brings to life the dream everyone has imagined: “What if the things I draw came to life...?” Whether it’s a doodle drawn in a notebook or on a whiteboard, when you scan it with this app, it comes to life and starts walking around in a virtual space through your smartphone. Feed it, poke it, and play around with your doodles brought to life. The iOS version was released early on Saturday, August 1, 2020, and reached 460,000 downloads within five days of launch. Thanks to being introduced by well-known manga artists and illustrators, it trended on Twitter, reaching No. 6, and it also took No. 1 on the paid app overall rankings in eight countries and regions around the world (Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia) for iPhone. It has also been featured by more than 50 web media outlets in Japan and abroad, as well as on multiple TV programs. It is also being exhibited for a limited time at the Kadokawa Musashino Museum. Special Exhibition "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" Warlord Maker

2019
00:00:53
As part of the promotion for the Special Exhibition “Romance of the Three Kingdoms,” held at the Tokyo National Museum starting Tuesday, July 9, we planned and developed “Bushi Maker” together with the exhibition team. Bushi Maker is a content experience that lets users upload a face photo, which is then combined with warrior visuals from Koei Tecmo Games’ “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” and “Dynasty Warriors” series to create a fictional warlord with a new “name” and “episode.” 　 40th Anniversary of the Japan-China Cultural Exchange Agreement Special Exhibition “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” Tokyo National Museum: Tuesday, July 9, 2019 – Monday, September 16, 2019 (national holiday) Kyushu National Museum: Tuesday, October 1, 2019 – Sunday, January 5, 2020
