"The Book I Bought with Tax Money" Volume 7 Release Event "Yankee Library"

2023
00:01:40
We were responsible for planning and producing “Yankee Library,” an event to commemorate the release of Volume 7 of the popular manga Taxes Paid for by the Taxpayer, which is currently serialized in Kodansha’s Young Magazine. Taxes Paid for by the Taxpayer is a library-themed workplace manga about a Yankee boy. For the event, we created a mobile library in the form of a wildly decorated Yankee-style truck: the “Yankee Library.” The launch event for the new volume was held at Shibuya Cast Garden. Visitors could climb up onto the truck bed, which served as the library, borrow all volumes of the comics and related books, and read them in the reading space. They could even read Volume 7 before its official release date. In addition, we prepared a special exhibition that allowed visitors to experience the story of Taxes Paid for by the Taxpayer. The event was enjoyed both by first-time visitors discovering the series for the first time and by fans who came specifically for the event, making it a celebration of the series’ world. Over the two-day event, a total of 1,360 people visited.

Vaundy × Morisawa Fonts “Okigigami”

2022
00:04:29
We planned and produced “Okitegami,” a tie-up music video with multi-artist Vaundy for Morisawa Fonts, Morisawa’s cloud-based font service that leads Japan’s font industry. We also handled the production of the special website released alongside the music video. https://okitegami.morisawafonts.com/ This work is a Font Specimen Music Video that uses 77 fonts provided by Morisawa Fonts, including Gothic and Mincho typefaces, and colors the lyrics with a wide variety of fonts like a font specimen book. Centered on the “magic words” featured in the song that Vaundy wrote specially for this collaboration, we used different fonts to match the meaning, weight, fragility, and emphasis of the lyrics, resulting in a vibrant music video that conveys the emotions of the lyrics more powerfully.

Udemy "Connecting those who want to learn with those who want to teach."

2022
00:00:31
We planned and produced a global campaign centered on TV commercials for Japan and Korea for Udemy, one of the world’s largest online learning platforms connecting people who want to learn with those who want to teach. Under the theme, “Connecting those who want to learn with those who want to teach,” this campaign depicts how Udemy connects a wide range of students who want to learn to advance their careers or become the person they aspire to be with instructors—entrepreneurs and professionals from every field around the world—who want to share their knowledge and skills, enabling students to learn practical, cutting-edge skills anytime, anywhere.

【OPEN HUB Monoliths】 An entrance that recognizes visitors as partners in co-creation and welcomes them in. Seven life-size displays stand around the entrance space, linked to the check-in system, and project immersive visuals featuring personal graphics (OPEN HUB Personal Logo) generated from each guest’s initials, profession, and other details, welcoming them as members of OPEN HUB. The generated “OPEN HUB Personal Logo” becomes a symbol of communication that bridges the real and virtual, changing in response to online and offline activities at “OPEN HUB.” 【OPEN HUB Visualizer】 A massive display where you can experience the Smart World through data visualization. Data held by companies engaged in co-creation is collected, stored, and analyzed using the “Smart Data Platform,” then visualized on a huge LED display measuring approximately 3 m × 10 m. Through this dynamic, data-driven installation experience, it encourages the creation of new value.

We planned and produced a global campaign centered on TV commercials for Udemy, one of the world’s largest online learning platforms, targeting the U.S., Japan, and South Korea. Rather than simply introducing the service, we focused on what kind of future this platform could open up, successfully conveying users’ own potential and the possibilities they could gain through Udemy. To create visuals that would resonate in both Western and Asian regions, we changed the main cast for each market and produced multiple versions of the copywriting tailored to each country.

Appier "The Little Match Girl"

00:00:16
Appier is a Taiwan-based technology company that provides AI-powered marketing solutions and was selected by Fortune magazine as one of “50 Companies Leading the AI Revolution.” We planned and produced its first brand commercial at Whatever. To make the Appier brand easy for anyone to understand while keeping it engaging, we came up with the idea of turning the well-known tragic tale of “The Little Match Girl” into a business success story powered by Appier. The realistic visuals that instantly draw viewers into the story’s world were filmed entirely remotely in Eastern Europe. We also focused on expressing Appier’s core technology, “AI-based prediction,” creating a commercial that intuitively and memorably conveys how AI empowers business.

For the NHK Special series “2030: A Turning Point for the Future,” we were responsible for planning and producing the program logo design and opening title sequence. The program reports on the environmental issues facing the world. It examines 2030, said to be a “turning point” for global challenges. Over the next decade, it considers how we can avoid crisis and achieve a sustainable future. In the logo and opening title, we used animation to portray the importance of confronting the real issues humanity faces and making our own choice at this turning point in the future. https://www6.nhk.or.jp/nhkpr/post/original.html?i=26703

Mayuu’s Chill Out Tunes

2020
01:47:57
Together with ASIACROSS, HATAMA, and SPOON, we planned and produced “Mayuu’s Chill Out Tunes,” a BGV (Background Video) content series that lets viewers enjoy a playlist from the Japanese Hip Hop label “SUMMIT,” one of actress Mayuu Yokota’s favorites, alongside footage of her spending a laid-back day. We created five situations in total—Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night, and Midnight—resulting in a long-form piece running about nine hours altogether. From waking up and brushing her teeth, to relaxing in the living room while eating lunch, to talking on the phone against a sunset backdrop, to the moment she drifts off to sleep, viewers can spend a mellow day together with the unfiltered, natural Mayuu Yokota while enjoying the music. Inspired by Yokota’s own love for Japanese Hip Hop, we aimed to make this a higher-quality BGV content that makes the most of her talent and encourages repeat viewing.

ROBOT VIEWING

2020
00:00:59
We developed “ROBOT VIEWING,” a system that allows people who find it difficult to visit events in person due to distance, time, disabilities, chronic conditions, or infection prevention measures to freely participate in events by remotely operating on-site robots from home online. With “ROBOT VIEWING,” multiple people, such as family members or acquaintances (currently up to five), can log in together, enjoy the event by operating a robot at the venue while video chatting, and communicate with people on-site through the robot’s speaker. The system also includes an online reservation and scheduling function, making it possible to flexibly schedule robot operation according to the event timetable and the number of units deployed. Going forward, we plan to add updates such as integration with a payment system and a function for projecting video on-site, and will develop this into a service that can be used not only for art exhibitions but also for product launch events and various indoor exhibition events. Shopify, the rapidly growing e-commerce platform making waves around the world. We planned and produced its first brand campaign in Japan, for a company already used by more than one million shops. We expressed Shopify’s strengths—that you can easily launch a full-scale online store and expand its rich functionality as your business grows—through the tagline “Take your shop to the next step.” and a single-take video showing a store continuously evolving and growing. In banner and graphic ads as well, we created visuals of product displays likened to an upward-trending graph, simply expressing the shop’s transformation and growth.

As part of the promotion for the Special Exhibition “Romance of the Three Kingdoms,” held at the Tokyo National Museum starting Tuesday, July 9, we planned and developed “Bushi Maker” together with the exhibition team. Bushi Maker is a content experience that lets users upload a face photo, which is then combined with warrior visuals from Koei Tecmo Games’ “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” and “Dynasty Warriors” series to create a fictional warlord with a new “name” and “episode.” 　 40th Anniversary of the Japan-China Cultural Exchange Agreement Special Exhibition “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” Tokyo National Museum: Tuesday, July 9, 2019 – Monday, September 16, 2019 (national holiday) Kyushu National Museum: Tuesday, October 1, 2019 – Sunday, January 5, 2020

Description: For NHK General TV, we planned and produced a projection show as one segment of the NHK Special series “The Origins of Food” ~ The “Ideal Diet” Revealed by Human Evolution. To explore the origins of food-related themes, TOKIO members trace the history of evolution back to the ancestors of humankind in “The Origins of Food Time Machine,” which depicts the history of evolution. https://www.nhk.or.jp/special/shoku/ You can watch the broadcast projection show here. ◆ Part 1 https://www.nhk.or.jp/special/shoku/series/01/ ◆ Part 2 https://www.nhk.or.jp/special/shoku/series/02/ ◆ Part 3 https://www.nhk.or.jp/special/shoku/series/03/ ◆ Part 4 https://www.nhk.or.jp/special/shoku/series/04/ We also planned and produced the digital content “The Origins of Food Time Machine,” featured in the “What Is Delicious?” exhibition held at Shibuya Scramble Square, where visitors can actually experience the “600 Million-Year Journey of Food and Human Evolution” that TOKIO experienced in the program. https://www.nhk.or.jp/plusx/event/oishii/

In 2017, Daimaru celebrated its 300th anniversary. As part of the celebration, we planned and produced a mirror installation made of flowers gathered together as a symbol of gratitude to our customers and as a festive launching point toward the next generation. Approximately 800 movable motors controlled the opening and closing of some 3,000 petals filling an ellipse 5 meters long and 3 meters high, and sensors installed in the piece detected the presence of people standing before it, reflecting their forms like a mirror and also rendering programmed text and patterns.

Deja vu | KAMRA

2015
00:02:52
We produced an interactive music video for “Deja vu,” a track from “Artificial Emotions,” the new album by KAMRA, an artist gaining attention in the electro music scene. This is a cutting-edge interactive video in which your own face changes in sync with the music. By visiting the special website and using your PC camera to capture yourself, the detected face is separated and transformed into a variety of forms in time with the song’s sequence. In the music video, your own face is given expressions and emotions by the music, turning the viewer themselves into an embodiment of the album’s concept, “Artificial Emotions.” Through this experience, viewers come to “deja vu” a slightly transformed version of themselves. https://kamra.invisi-dir.com/
