Profile: Born in Hiroshima Prefecture in 1981.
His work explores fragmented, multilayered realities and uncertainty through moving image, collage, animation, and related forms.
He values continuing to think rather than arriving at quick conclusions, and embraces complexity that cannot be reduced to a single interpretation. Through editing that connects disparate elements while preserving seams and gaps, he aims to create space that accommodates a range of viewer perspectives. In this way, rather than simply reproducing reality, he seeks to create images in which the surreal sensibility within reality—unexplainable unease and overlapping layers—can emerge as it is.
In addition to client work, he is currently engaged in experimental short-form filmmaking while aspiring to produce feature-length films.
