Set in Aburaya Bay, Yamaguchi Prefecture, this documentary follows salt artisan Yusho Inoue, who declares, “Making salt is my calling.” It depicts his passion for handcrafted work, as well as the connections between past and future, and the relationship between people and nature, all through the medium of salt.

【You Are the NEXT Artist! ～ With-Corona Young Artist Support Project ～】 A performance video by “NEXT Artists,” born from a young artist support project conceived by stage director Amon Miyamoto. This project positions young artists who lost opportunities to perform and present their work during the COVID-19 pandemic as “NEXT Artists,” and sees six supporters active in the entertainment industry, along with the advisors each of them appoints, select 14 “NEXT Artists” and create and share a platform for expression set in Hibiya and Ginza.

Description: Due to the pandemic, Broadway theaters were shut down, and actors spent a year and a half in limbo. Racism also worsened, and hate crimes targeting Asians ran rampant. That is New York City, USA. It is easy to confront negative events with anger. However, those of us living in this city still choose to pursue the dreams and ideals we want to achieve here. Because that is the “JOY” in life. - - - - - - - - - - We expressed our reflections on the events and emotions experienced uniquely by spending the extraordinary years of 2020–2021 in New York, together with Asian musical theater performers active on Broadway, set to original music.
