We produced a promotional video for Tokio Marine’s Yen Asset Balanced Fund, “Ensoukai.” A trio of three people introduces three key points and three types of financial assets. In keeping with the product name, the video is composed of music-themed graphics, and the sound effects are also the sounds of the instruments played by each character.

2nd single "Circus of Monsters" Anger, loneliness, self-loathing. Hatred toward others, and a sense of unease so deep that you no longer even understand yourself. These unspeakable emotions are conveyed through sharp, unhinged lyrics, a destructive sound, and awkward, dizzying visuals. Beneath the provocative expression lies a painfully clumsy yet honest truth. It is a requiem for those who were forced to live as “monsters,” and a song that speaks for people carrying feelings they want to express but cannot.

Commentary: “Kimyō na Kankei,” a solo project by composer and arranger Kaoru Okubo. Bringing together two artists he respects, he has produced a new work of visuals and music. The grand story woven by lyricist Seiko Oomori is depicted by illustrator Kaoru Aoyagi with a delicate yet passionate touch. I had the privilege of powerfully and delicately directing the inner turmoil of a boy living in a decadent near-future world.
