This was created as the music video for “flowerlang,” a track from musician VOQ’s first album, YONA, released in April 2018 by PROGRESSIVES FOrM. While it is a music video, it is also a “painting of time” in which similar images are drawn repeatedly, with the intention of exploring the nonlocality of where images reside, and of expressing video as a form of painting. This work is also the drawing animation piece Tales of Flower (2012), created together with an early version of VOQ’s “flowerlang” for the exhibition “Moving Images Festival MOVING 2012: MOVING Exhibition” at the Kyoto Art Center.

Main entrance We were responsible for directing and producing video content, including the eight-screen digital signage installed at the main entrance and exhibition explanatory videos for each area. To avoid distracting from the exhibition experience, we carefully designed videos that were easy to understand and unobtrusive, minimizing decorative flourishes as much as possible.

Gen Hoshino - Glitch [Official Video] Director: Migitakaru Meta In this work, I was responsible for the motion graphics / window design. Within a visual structure where glitches occur in a chain reaction across the desktop, I implemented a browser-crasher-like window proliferation effect using p5.js. Drawing on early internet culture and the UI context of PC screens, I designed the interface and motion of windows that self-replicate.
