Description: We were responsible for planning and producing the new music video game “ROCKMAN 20XX ~ Fight, TEAM SHACHI~,” created as a special collaboration project between TEAM SHACHI and Rockman. https://rocketqueen.games/ This highly challenging smartphone game, designed to be played alongside TEAM SHACHI’s new song “Rocket Queen feat. MCU,” is based on Rockman 2 and built around the theme of “Rockman 30 years later.” In this future world, not only Rockman himself, but also nostalgic boss characters from Rockman 2 such as Metal Man and Air Man appear as older versions of themselves. Clear the tough stages in time with the music, rescue Rockman, who has become a weapon of mass destruction, and save the world! If you get stuck in the game, you can watch the video version to find a clue for how to clear it. Total plays: 535,598 Clear rate: 0.18% (as of October 17, 2019)

Two people sneak into a decayed western-style mansion that no one lives in anymore. They move closer and closer to the secret hidden in the basement. Overall, the work was designed and art-directed to feel like viewing a piece of art, with everything from the costumes to the set design made noble and beautiful. The animation mixes rotoscoping with drawings based on rough key frames.

Planned as part of Suntory’s #ZONe IMMERSIVE SONG PROJECT. A novel served as the basis for the story, which was then expressed as a music video. The specific narrative was abstracted and visualized graphically by combining hand-drawn animation and motion graphics.
