3DCG work created for a special feature in CG WORLD, “Masters of Image Making” (4 still images). The theme given was “a CG work incorporating the infinity symbol (∞),” and I sought to express “nature separated from the real world and living on in the world of CG.” Rather than depicting grand, majestic nature, I focused on familiar natural elements and aimed to create imagery that could be seen in many different ways: like an object in a corner of an interior space, like a small piece of architecture, like something reminiscent of the wabi-sabi aesthetic of ikebana or bonsai, or even like a Western gravestone.
