A collection of works by video director/designer Hotaka Shimazu (MeMeM). His work spans short film direction, motion graphics, and documentary video production.

Crossfade movie for Reol’s “Kissaki.” A motion graphics piece inspired by the title track “Kissaki.” This song was created as a tie-in for the TV anime Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story, and it powerfully expresses the world of the work. For that reason, the artwork was created based on the inner feelings of the characters from the original series. We aimed to create a visual work that goes beyond the existing framework of what is typically called an “XFD movie.”

A music video for a song produced to promote the roadside station “Yotte Michi no Eki Nishi-Tosa” in Shimanto City, Kochi Prefecture. The director and illustrator were different people, and I was solely responsible for the animation and editing. Released on YouTube. The production period was about one month.
