By crossing over three different modes of expression—reality, fantasy, and drama—I directed the work to capture “Que Sera, Sera,” or “it will all work out,” from every perspective. I explored new reactions that arise by blending things that seem unlikely to intersect: a fabricated story, a documentary that is not fabricated, and a god’s world created with CG.

BURNS SKOOL, the story of boys striving to become top dancers. By layering colorful character designs over impactful bold-type animation and imagery inspired by the destruction of a city, the film portrays their anguish and inner conflict, as well as the liberation that lies beyond them.
