The commercial parody edition. A 60-second parody of L.O.L. Surprise, the “pop and cute toy” from the U.S.A. that’s now hugely popular with elementary school girls. The dolls, each less than 9 cm tall, were filmed entirely in stop-motion, and their lifelike, seamless movement is truly impressive. We hope you’ll think, “Wow, L.O.L. can move like this!”

Directed the music trailer showcased in the second stage of the film Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-. Using 2D graphics to express the worldview of each of the six divisions’ songs, the trailer was designed to serve as a bridge to the main feature’s 3DCG footage.

CG animation for the “Nemuru Ma Anime” segment included in U-NEXT Kids’ picture-book reading program “Nemuru Ma Ehon.” By weaving together the factory motifs that Masaya Ishikawa had explored in his previous works with the absurd ideas of Senpuukyaku Hoshiko, the piece was brought to life as a mysterious and charming visual work. The 3DCG production was handled by Hoshiko. Through repeated trial and error, the process by which “something” whose state keeps changing—such as being stretched or painted—is manufactured was visualized. In the latter half, frame-by-frame “faces” are given to the manufactured objects to endow them with emotion, retelling the factory line as a single story.

Description: There is another world lurking in the corners of the city, and sometimes you find yourself slipping into it by chance. I visualized that hazy feeling. Using Blender's motion tracking, I composited the 3D footage to make it look as though one had wandered from the real world into another realm. By blending hand-drawn animation, motion graphics, and 3D, I created a fantastical world.
