The language of sweet pea flowers is said to be “never forget me” and “farewell.” Memories that were meant to be sealed deep within the heart return no matter how fiercely one resists, tormenting the soul without end. Obsession and dependence that consume the self are certainly poison capable of destroying one’s very being. And yet, in those moments when one simply sinks into the sea of surging memories and suffocates, might there not be a secret, maddening ecstasy—one that feels as if both body and heart are melting away? What I have depicted this time is a parable of such love and ruin. It is a twisted tale of love woven by a soulless mechanical doll and the dollmaker who pours the poison of life into it. Please enter this sweet hell, accompanied by the alluring and ethereal resonance of Cö shu Nie and Miku Nakamura, as if lost memories were softly whispering in your ear.
