In a structure that evokes no particular nation, Nohmen Tokyo’s contemporary dance synchronizes with an abstract musical piece.

An audiovisual installation titled “Blue Parclock,” permanently installed at the newly reopened Ikebukuro West Gate Park “Global Ring.” Since its launch in November 2019, every hour on the hour, weather, temperature, time of day, and other current data are analyzed in real time, and an approximately five-minute audiovisual show unfolds as automatically generated sound synchronizes with screen visuals, fountains, and ring lighting. The concept is “a boundary” and “the natural world of the Earth.” The work was created in collaboration between JKD and Junichi Akagawa / 1-10 Design. The music and sound design were by Kuniyuki Takahashi.
