THE NORTH FACE: GLOBE FIT INSTALLATION

2018
00:02:58
An audiovisual installation for The North Face’s new product, Globe Fit, planned and produced by JKD, was displayed at the storefront of The North Face Play in Hibiya Midtown for a month, drawing considerable attention. This innovative installation combined mannequins wearing the product with transparent OLED displays, creating a fresh new experience. Inspired by products based on Wholegarment manufacturing, in which garments are knitted from a single thread, we produced a roughly 10-minute movie. The work blends handwritten animation by artist Tatsuhiro Ariyoshi, woven together with a single line, and an audiovisual visualizer created through a collaboration between programmer Masayuki Daishima and JKD.
