These are the hands of Beauty. Not for how they look, but for what they hold. The ability to reach inside different people… To know how they feel, or how they want to feel. The power to bring out their true colors, their best sides, and the best versions of who they want to be. It is our privilege to serve these hands. To nurture them, to challenge them, and to inspire them. Because what they do every day is how we make a beautiful impact on this world. A beauty creator is someone with deep insight and a rare ability to make people feel beautiful. We focused on the hands of Shiseido’s top beauty creators, capturing their real techniques.

Airbnb : Japan Host Story

For Airbnb’s “Host Story” series, which introduces unique hosts from around the world, JKD planned and produced a documentary film featuring Takigahara Farm in Ishikawa Prefecture. Takigahara Farm is operated in Takigahara, Komatsu, Ishikawa, by a team led by Teruo Kurosaki, who created Midorisou, where JKD’s office is located. In this paradise-like place of farmhouses and cafes created by renovating several old private houses, an astonishingly rich flow of time unfolds. Commissioned by Airbnb’s San Francisco headquarters, JKD produced a story about the Airbnb housed in an 80-year-old renovated stone storehouse there, and its host, Ryo Ogawa. The director was Mackenzie Shepherd. Aside from a few drone shots, nearly all scenes were shot on 16mm film. This work allows viewers to feel the unique atmosphere of Takigahara, with its crystal-clear air, wild nature, and people full of vitality.
