Kenshi Yonezu New Album Release Event "LOST CORNER AR LIVE in HARAKADO"

To commemorate the release of Kenshi Yonezu’s 6th album, LOST CORNER, we were responsible for the character design and AR production/design of “LOST CORNER AR LIVE in HARAKADO,” held at Tokyu Plaza Harajuku “Harakado.” LOST CORNER AR LIVE in HARAKADO is a roughly five-minute AR experience that lets visitors witness a fictional Kenshi Yonezu live performance, dancing freely through the streets of Harajuku to songs such as the opening theme of the anime Chainsaw Man, “KICK BACK,” and the theme song for the NHK TV drama series Tiger and Her Wings, “Sayounara Mata Itsuka!” By co-creating with SoVeC, part of the Sony Group, and leveraging the advanced capabilities of Sony’s VPS technology, which boasts outstanding precision and robustness, we were able to create an immersive presentation that blends reality and digital content.

We planned and produced “MoAR – Museum of AR,” an art gallery where you can experience large-scale digital artworks in AR, using the coworking building WHEREVER in Roppongi, Tokyo, as a canvas. In addition to our original works, such as a logo leaping out from a sign, a giant monster roaming the building, a swarm of ghosts inhabiting the building being sucked away, and a giant figure peering out from inside the building, we also collaborated with a total of 24 artists active across a wide range of fields, including Inae, Yukishita Mayu, and others. In all, you can experience 28 AR mural artworks at once. By using App Clips, we eliminated the need to download an app, allowing visitors to simply scan the QR codes painted on the building’s exterior walls and view works by a variety of artists in AR.

We were responsible for developing “Lyric Sync Technology,” the software centered on the motion graphics direction program for the new model of the next-generation speaker Lyric Speaker, “Lyric Speaker Box,” which displays lyrics in sync with music. https://lyric-speaker.com/box/ The system automatically estimates the emotions in the lyrics, and the appropriate motion graphics and fonts appear on the transparent LCD monitor. This music experience, where sight and sound are harmonized, creates the sensation that an artist is weaving words just for you in the same space.

We produced an interactive music video for “Deja vu,” a track from “Artificial Emotions,” the new album by KAMRA, an artist gaining attention in the electro music scene. This is a cutting-edge interactive video in which your own face changes in sync with the music. By visiting the special website and using your PC camera to capture yourself, the detected face is separated and transformed into a variety of forms in time with the song’s sequence. In the music video, your own face is given expressions and emotions by the music, turning the viewer themselves into an embodiment of the album’s concept, “Artificial Emotions.” Through this experience, viewers come to “deja vu” a slightly transformed version of themselves. https://kamra.invisi-dir.com/
