When you step away from your present self for a moment and take things slowly from afar, sometimes you can think, “Well, that’s fine.” While the protagonist closely follows her own desires and changes rapidly, she never completely becomes someone else. With that in mind, I used clay to shape the characters and created the animation by gradually transforming them little by little.

On a summer day, I went out into town with an old man who teaches Russian by the seaside. Then, the town I thought I knew began to look different from an unfamiliar perspective. The old man will probably be by the seaside again tomorrow.

One day, Banno-sensei, the homeroom teacher of the neighboring class, suddenly shaved his head. The students teased Banno-sensei, calling him bald. Then one day, Banno-sensei took to a hot air balloon and flew away. No one knows what happened after that.
