This is the music video for Linked Horizon’s “Akatsuki no Chinkonka,” which was produced as the ending theme for Season 3 Part 1 of the TV anime Attack on Titan. To ensure that it could be enjoyed not only by Attack on Titan fans and Linked Horizon fans, but also by viewers with no prior knowledge of either, and to further bring out the power of the song itself, we infused every motif that appears—characters, backgrounds, action, and more—with a strong message, creating a unique world view. In addition, the sound effects (SE) that enliven the visuals are also filled with the meticulous attention to detail of Revo and Hirokazu Ebisu, who handled the SE. The story quietly begins with two figures: a mysterious white creature that appears from the opening, and the man in the black coat who appears before it every day. We would be grateful if each viewer could interpret the “truth” that gradually comes into focus as the story unfolds in their own way.
