元々舞台化したいと思って考えていた企画をドラマ化。 テーマとしては食べものを通して繋がるコミュニケーションというのを軸にしてます。 近頃は、一人ご飯が増えて家族団欒が減っている中、みんなでワイワイと ご飯を食べる楽しさが伝わるものにしたいなと思って考え始めたのがきっかけです。 そこからみんなで一緒に多数決で食べ物を決めるという設定が生まれ「民主主義定食屋」というタイトルに。 でも民主主義と看板を掲げながらまったく民主主義ではないというところをコメディになるよう作りました。 手法としては今までもやってきたのですが、自分で脚本を書いて、監督しながら カメラも回すということを今回のドラマでもやっています。 自分でカメラを回すことによって役者の方のテンションを 近くでダイレクトに感じながら演出できるので、撮影現場でのテンポ感も出しやすく 自分としてはとても気に入っている作り方です。
