Profile: Born in Osaka Prefecture. Graduated from the Film Department of Kyoto University of Art and Design Junior College. Started his career as a film director. He has directed numerous commercials and music videos, winning a wide range of awards in Japan and internationally, including at the Cannes Advertising Festival. In 2018, he dissolved Kotori Film, the production company he headed. He currently works as a freelance filmmaker.
As a photographer, he published the photo book Shikō in 2020 and has also held solo exhibitions in Japan and abroad while continuing his artistic practice.
