A music video by the mysterious artist collective A.S.I.W.C. Based on underground, illegal live-action footage resembling a drug manufacturing facility, it unfolds into hallucinatory visuals through motion graphics, glitches, and other techniques.

A promotional movie introducing “WHITE Tree Letter,” a new postcard experience that combines a postcard and a smartphone. A dreamy, eye-catching visual world that goes beyond a simple product introduction. It creates a sense of excitement for the arrival of a message service that adds color to Christmas scenes.

As part of the “Sea and Japan PROJECT,” an initiative promoted by the Nippon Foundation with the aim of sparking children’s interest and curiosity about the sea and expanding the circle of action toward solving ocean-related issues, “Umi Dance” was developed to clearly convey to children the crises facing Japan’s oceans and the importance of the sea. In this work, the choreography expresses the sea with the whole body, and the song incorporates themes such as environmental issues facing the ocean and a growing concern for the sea, aiming to unite feelings about the ocean while everyone from children to adults enjoys dancing together.

んoon (hoon) formed in 2014, starting as an instrumental lineup of harp, bass, and keyboards. Since 2016, vocals and percussion were added, and the band reached its current formation. The band name comes from “fūn,” a Japanese onomatopoeia expressing surprise or indifference. (Its pronunciation accent, however, is the same as that of “fūun,” meaning misfortune.) For the spelling, the initial letter of “hoon” is rendered with the hiragana character “ん.” Their sound and wording are assembled through sessions, with each member bringing in ideas as they come to mind. They do not especially focus on any particular context in relation to genre, but they try to avoid the cultural rootedness inherent in the timbre of each instrument as much as possible. In their instrumental period, they aimed for intricate, gear-like ensemble interplay starting from prog and jazz, but with the addition of vocalist JC, their musical flexibility exploded. JC’s hyper-mellow whispers gently bind together the serious instrumentalists’ odd time signatures and key changes.

An audiovisual live performance in the 3D full-dome theater at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. Presented as part of the art event MUTEK.JP. By synchronizing music with the permanently installed 3D projector in the Dome Theater Gaia at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, and projecting additional imagery from a large brought-in projector in layered overlap, the work realized an interactive live performance in 3D. This experimental audiovisual piece explores the visualization of themes such as quantum mechanics and the mechanisms of decision-making found in the laws governing natural forms.

A new Airbnb series, “Not Yet Trending,” showcases the world’s most captivating cities gaining attention as travel destinations through edgy visual expression. For the first Japan installment, we produced a film featuring Kanazawa at JKD. This time, we took on a new challenge: a hybrid form that combines a music video and a documentary. By skillfully blending a powerful track based on the Japanese musical scale with the stories of four hosts, we present the refined charm of Kanazawa in a new way.
