This new work by HIFANA, “TEJIME,” their first in nine years, was released on the first day of the Reiwa era and was inspired by “tejime,” a traditional Japanese celebratory ritual, in order to grandly celebrate the beginning of a new era. HIFANA is, after all, a pioneer of anime music videos in Japan. Animation synchronized with music. Strange and humorous characters. I wanted to portray each element in an extreme way. Using cel shading, a technology that was uniquely developed in Japan, this is a full CG animation created entirely by a single person.

このHIFANAの9年ぶりの新作「TEJIME」は令和元日に発表され、新しい時代を盛大に祝うべく、 日本古来の祝いの儀式である「手締め」を着想として生まれました。 HIFANAと言えば日本のアニメMVのパイオニアです。 音楽と同期したアニメーション。奇妙でユーモラスなキャラクター。 それぞれの要素を極端な表現で見せたかった。 日本で独自に発達した技術であるセルシェーディングを使用して、 たった一人で制作したフルCGアニメーションです。
