“Rei” is a traditional performing arts team founded in 2023, and I am involved as a director. As Rei’s first independently produced performance, “Mokugeki” was planned and held at WALL&WALL on 2024/4/12. This performance was an attempt to reconstruct a concert of Japanese traditional instruments through direction, actively incorporating visual and lighting production. This is a reel of the visuals used in the live production. I explored visual direction as a lighting effect for the live performance. I experimented with creating visuals using a wide range of tools across genres, including live action, CG (Blender), simulation, audio-reactive visuals (TouchDesigner), and generative AI (Midjourney, Runway ML).
