Description: This video was shown during the opening live performance by SEXY-SYNTHESIZER at the 2019 “Fami Mairi” event, hosted by METEOR in Nishiogikubo, Tokyo. This work is a challenge to see how much expressive impact can be achieved not only by limiting the image to pixel-art constraints, but also by fixing the screen layout through the regular arrangement of 16x16 dot animations.

“G PRESENTS LOVER’S COLLECTION” is a pair watch series featuring “G-SHOCK” and “BABY-G,” themed around love. Interpreting the product’s world, which is decorated with colorful pixel art in the style of a retro game screen designed by Makoto Oguchi, designer at TOKYO PiXEL., we created a game-like animation in which a man and a woman make their way toward a mistletoe tree.
