I used to think God was a perfect, intelligent being. That there was an invisible calculation in the world, and that every event in life had some “meaning.” But if you look closely, human life is surprisingly “more random than random.” If God were truly intelligent, there should be far more things that could be explained. So lately I’ve started to think that maybe the world is just a little looser, swaying around without much purpose. And when you realize that kind of “casualness,” it puts your mind at ease a little. If God isn’t perfect, then humans don’t have to be perfect either. Maybe the world is full of far more unexpected things than we imagine.

Theme song for the animated film The Legend of Hei. A boy who visits a witch begs to become her apprentice. As they continue their training, the two grow closer. The boy looks up at the sky, wondering how he can make the witch happy. We used stop-motion animation and animation to give it a fantastical feel.
