A VR installation work with the concept of a “space of sound.” It recreates the spatial dimension of music, with the aim of transporting one’s audiovisual perception into that space through an HMD. Music always possesses space and time. The groove created by one sound and another is the “ma” (interval), and what emerges from that is a “vast space.” By immersing oneself in that immense space, the work seeks to create an experience of being more fully enveloped by the spatiality of music.

A VR installation work based on the concept of a "sound space." Its aim is to recreate the spatial quality of music and, through an HMD, transport one’s own sight and hearing into that space. Music always possesses both space and time. The groove created by sounds and the "ma" between them is what gives rise to a "vast space." By immersing oneself in that vast space, the work seeks to create an experience of being more fully enveloped by the spatiality of music.

This high-resolution video installation uses four sides: the front, both sides, and the top. Each is equipped with a high-definition LED panel. By manipulating the contactless controller, the graphic image changes instantly with hand gestures. This LED panel is so massive that it extends beyond the range of human vision. Although it is a 2D image, it greatly captivates the audience’s attention. This artwork successfully creates an atmosphere by expressing the ripeness and texture of the image. Various motion graphics such as “Abstract Wave,” “Soft Texture,” “Straight Line,” and “Velvety Fur-like Texture” appear one after another, showing the transformation of “the Atmosphere of Textures.” A high-resolution video installation using four high-definition LED panels on the front, both sides, and the top. Using a contactless controller, it is possible to switch images instantly with hand gestures. By using a massive LED panel that extends beyond the field of view, the work achieves a strong sense of immersion even with a 2D image, successfully expanding the image’s sizzle and texture into the surrounding space. Motion graphics such as “Abstract Wave,” “Soft Texture,” “Straight Line,” and “Flowing Fur-like Texture” appear one after another, transforming “the texture of space.”
