Description: This stop-motion animation is set in Moriyama Ward, located on the outskirts of Nagoya, the production base of the artist Foodman a.k.a. foodmatsuri and the filmmaker. It expresses Foodman’s worldview, in which his own body is the very source of his music, and a unique sense of groove is created by adding a subtle sense of unease to the ordinary scenery of the town. The stop-motion footage was shot on an iPhone 6 while walking around or on the way to my regular spot, Ryusenji no Yu.

“Sanuki Film Festival” held in Kagawa Prefecture. This Opening Movie was created with the theme of traveling udon, inspired by the spirit of “Let’s go to the film festival! Let’s eat udon!”

Skip City, a combined museum of visual media and science museum complex in Saitama, Japan. Skip City is home to curious scientific devices and historic filming equipment, but because it is located far from the city center, it remains little known. “What is Skip City?” Its appeal can only be understood by going there, and this was expressed through animation.
