NHK Minna no Uta, broadcast in February and March 2026. We were in charge of the animation for a song in which singer-songwriter Mao Abe sings straight from the heart to a simple melody about the power and warmth of a special relationship called a “Buddy” — neither lovers nor family, and a little different from other friends — as well as the fragility and poignancy that come from supporting each other and being supported in return. We depicted this special relationship called “Buddy” as two cats drawing manga together. Kindred spirits who share the same aspirations, walk in the same direction, and go through both joys and hardships together. I think if you could meet such a Buddy, you would surely be happy.
