A video work by the exhibition directors of 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT’s special exhibition “What is a Rule?” that explores the roles and value of rules from multiple perspectives. The rules we usually take for granted and follow almost unconsciously may not be the same for someone else. This educational video takes a multi-angle look at the customs and patterns of behavior shared by various communities, from schools and companies to society as a whole, and reveals the surprisingly flexible and changeable nature of rules, which at first glance may seem absolute.
